Ltd. growth strategy, it is considering expansion into the nascent oil and gas sector of Ghana by taking advantage of opportunities offered in the proposed Atuabo Free Port. Kayab Maritime Services Co. Ltd. intends to leverage on its expertise in marine terminal management and operations, to become a major player in the proposed Atuabo Free Port.
Its goal is to provide world-class shore-based logistics services to the upstream operators from a base in the proposed Atuabo Free Port. Kayab's intends to realise its growth strategy by a partnership with a global player with expertise in international freight forwarding, oil and gas logistics, haulage and marine operations.
Kayab Maritime Co. Ltd. has already taken an important step towards the realisation of this mission and has acquired a 15,000 m² plot of green field land from the Atuabo Free Port Company. It is also in the advanced stage of a process to acquire additional 100,000 m² of prime land in close proximity to the proposed Atuabo Free Port from the traditional authorities in Atuabo. Kayab intends to develop these plots of land into well-class base platforms to provide shore-based logistics services such as: contract storage, fabrication, refurbishment of sub-sea equipment and installations for the offshore oil and gas industry. This will be in addition to the provision of ancillary services like Towage and quay transfer, the provision of Cranes, equipment hire, equipment maintenance, freight forwarding, haulage and supply of fresh water.
